Energy Cleansing Smudge Kit
Cleansing an area by burning organic materials has been used throughout history for the purposes of removing unwanted energy from specific spaces. This is commonly called smudging. Smudging is a spiritual practice where you clear your energy fields by burning herb bundles, sticks and flowers.
Wafting aromatic smoke through the air, purifies and cleanses a living space, an object or yourself.
When sacred herbs and resins are burned it creates purifying smoke that sets the mood and environment for ceremonies, rituals and prayers. This has been done for centuries in many cultures and religious groups.
Traditionally Native Americans and indigenous people would burn sage to cleanse negative energy away from themselves and the space around them. This was done in a spiritual ritual to promote healing, longevity and wisdom. Palo santo, white sage and lavender (and many other organic materials) can be used to help cleanse an area for specific purposes.

White Sage: White sage is an evergreen perennial shrub that stems from the Salvia plant family. Salvia is derived from the Latin word Salvere, which translate to “heal” or “to feel well and healthy.”
Burning white sage is used to banish negative energy and helps to prepare a space, object or person with positive vibes and intent. It cleanses the aura by removing stuck negative energy, invites the new in and restores harmony. Some natives would burn White sage to warn off sore throats, chest colds, coughs and upper respiratory infections. Sage has also had a history of use in Roman, Egyptian and Greek medicine.

Spiritual Flows: High vibrational crystal that connects to the Angelic Realm to bring light to any environment it’s placed in
Spiritual Meaning: Rejuvenate the divine feminine energy
Selenite can be found all over the World but most often found in Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Greece, Japan, Mexico, Poland and United States and is one of the most sacred crystals throughout history. It’s a variety of crystallised gypsum that forms as an evaporate in clay beds, salts flats, hot springs and caves.
The name ‘Selenite’ derives from the Greek goddess Selene, the goodness of the moon. Also known as the Satin Spar, Maria Glass and/or the Desert Rose.
It’s said that the ancient Greeks would use Selenite as windows to amplify the moonlight so they could see more clearly. Said to offer protection on ones aura, energy and environment. Selenite physically blocks dense energies enhancing high vibrations in the body to heal physical traumas. Cleanses the aura of negative energy and herds clarity of the mind. Commonly used to intensify the energy of other crystals.
Practical Tips:
Before you start, it is important to be careful when smudging a space. Make sure to have a non-flammable bowl under what is being burnt to collect any stray ash that may fall, this may happen as you blow on to the embers to keep them smoking or as you move around the space.
Light one end of your smudge stick over the non-flammable bowl, then lightly blow out the flame leaving the embers to create the smoke that will assist you in the cleanse. Slowly walk around your home using your hands or a feather to waft the smoke in all areas of your space. You may need to relight your smudge stick when cleansing a large area, simply relight and continue with cleanse.
It is important to have some ventilation during your cleanse, but if it’s a windy day it's not advisable to have windows wide open to limit the amount of burning ash that may fall. Some believe smudge sticks should be left to smoulder rather than be put out, if so you must stay with your smudge stick until it completely goes out.
In order to put out the smudge stick once you are finished, press the smouldering end of the smudge stick into the non-flammable bowl until all the embers are completely extinguished.
Make sure your smudged stick is not smoking. NEVER leave a burning smudge stick unattended!
Intention is EVERYTHING. So it is vital to think about what type of energy you would like to release. For example, if you would like to release the energy of a difficult encounter with someone, you could see that energy being swept away with the smoke. You may find it useful to invoke the angels, guides, ancestors and/or any other benevolent beings, asking that they assist you in releasing what you’d like to let go of. You may also say prayers, sing, chant or have music playing or anything that helps with the intention you are holding in the cleanse.
It is often useful to say affirmations and/or prayers whilst smudging an area. This keeps your intention on what it is you want to cleanse. Some examples:
I clear all that is unlike love from this room - I release the past - I let go of what no longer serves me.
Try to use words that resonate with you.
Once you have done the cleansing and cleared the space, it is an ideal time to set new intentions focused on what you would like to bring into your life. Some examples:
I invite only love into this room - I allow the new & vibrant into my life - I am open and receptive to my highest good.
This is where the crystals can be very useful. After the cleanse sit comfortably, making sure you will be undisturbed. Hold the crystal in your hands and say the affirmation/prayer of your choosing many times…a minimum of 6 repetitions actually creates a neural pathway in the brain. This allows your mind to be more able to begin to incorporate the new idea into your subconscious mind.
Once it is installed in your subconscious mind, it has become a belief and change is inevitable. Really focus on the feelings of what you would like to create. Give yourself the time and space .
You are a magnificent being.
